Ilkley Brewery appoints head of sales, enlists new agency for national growth

Ilkley Brewery has appointed Josie Ludford as their new head of sales and I Like Press as their retained PR company.

In this new role, Josie will head the sales department with a remit to increasing coverage, routes to market and new ways of working. Josie joins with a vast knowledge of the industry from her previous roles as National On-Trade Manager for Brewdog and before that Josie was the Northern Sales Rep for Brewdog and Ossett Brewery. She is a certified cicerone, has worked developing international markets, and is highly regarded in the industry. I Like Press will lead on national campaign to coincide with the big plans for 2016.

Ilkley Brewery see this is an important stepping stone in their 2016 plans and the appointments are designed to emphasise the brewery’s new vision following the major share acquirement by Half Full Beer Co. The brewery had an incredible 2015 and are looking to build on growth maintained in the year, having taken the capacity of the brewery to 45,000 pints per week and having sold nearly 2 million pints. The brewery now exports to over 10 countries including USA, China, Sweden and across mainland Europe with every one of the bottled beers gaining a national award. The company also now boasts a fleet of 4 vans delivering cask, keg and bottled beer across the north.
